Labrador Park.

Went Labrador Park on Saturday with Lenson, Denise and Woei Jiun. Haha, been there before but that was a long time ago.

Before that, I went to Denise house cause she didn't want to go out after she went home and I didn't want her to come my house... cause I'm evil! HEH Passed her Step Up and Stomp The Yard. At first we were watching Stomp The Yard but after 5 minutes she didn't get the storyline so we watched Step Up instead. -.-

Then went Hougang Mall where I got blamed for trying to hold a water bottle and 2 cups of sweettalk. Sighs... =(

Then went to Lenson's house's bus stop where Lenson's father brought us to Labrador Park. Took quite a few pictures, but I'm too lazy to post so go Lenson's blog to see. =)
Haha, except for this photo which looks like some advertising campaign for clothes? Just need some editing.
Not bad right? I should have edited the contrast or white balance or clone stamped off some parts, but ah whatever. =P

Then Lenson's father brought us for dinner. Kway Chap with duck meat. Quite nice. =D Then his father sent us home. =D

Saturday 27 October 2007

I have a new pet!

It's a pig!! And it came with a nice cloth like thing as a basket/home. Cool!!! And my pig is a famous superstar too!

In case you think:"BAH MINGHUI THE LIAR!!!", here's a picture. =)

So Cute Right?!?! Haha, it replaces my turtle which was super dirty already, but anyways, my turtle already has a family. Heh ;)

Shot with Lenson's Canon Camera, Macro setting, at my computer table. =D

Friday 26 October 2007

Swamped.

Okay, really didn't have time at all to blog this entire week. =/

Swamped by too many things to do I guess. Strange thing is it's almost the same as last year, except now I'm signing up for things I didn't do last year, and I have almost no problems with any friends. =)

Okay, starting from Campcraft training last Saturday, it's going to be a super long post, haha. Training was tiring, was still kind of irritated cause of the clashes between the camp and the Perth Trip, but ah whatever. Timing to set up a tent was cut to about 8 minutes, so that's quite good? Went home and slept until about 5+ because I was tired.

But I didn't just slack around at home okay? I read Dreamcatchers by Stephen King. It's about aliens and invasion and viruses and this Native American object called dreamcatcher. Now I want to watch that movie, it's a nice book with a meaningful ending anyways. =D

Then went out for dinner at Vivo City, then went to Sentosa. I think I've been to Sentosa like 4 times this month already, but never mind. Watched the "Songs Of The Sea" again, I think I can almost memorise the entire show already. =\

Sunday, went to Eugene's house to discuss the Passing Out Parade with Sec 3s, kind of reminiscent I guess. Hao Xiang, Eugene and me started translating the song lyrics for Numb into Chinese, then the song lyrics for I Don't Love You. Stupid, haha, we were laughing at ourselves cause the lyrics were super weird. Left his house at around 9pm, then went home and started on the video thing again, which leads to me sleeping at 4am.

Promotion Exercise on Monday=No school! Cause the teachers are all busy debating on whether or not to "promote" us to the next level, so they have no time for us. So I could theoretically wake up late right?

Set my alarm clock to 8.30am, but only woke up at 9am by Woei Jiun's call. Felt super tired and my eyelids felt like they were lined with metal bars, but I've suffered worse forms of sleep deprivation, so it wasn't that bad. =P

Went to Sentosa with Hao Xiang, Eugene, Chee Sheng, Wei Ting, Nina, Woei Jiun and Elaine. Ya, like, again!?!? It's less than 2 days since you went to Sentosa, and again?!?!

Haha, but we went to Siloso beach to play volleyball, and the beach was deserted. Cause it was a normal school day for others, so there were very few people at the beach. Yay fun. Played volleyball at the empty volleyball courts, then swam with Chee Sheng and Eugene to the breakwater(Geography!), then walked with Hao Xiang and Eugene to the 7-11 and sort of jumped/hopped/walked cause the pathway was scorching and only Hao Xiang wore slippers.

And we saw Lenson's brother there! Haha, was like wondering why Wei Ting asked if Lenson got a brother, then saw Winson with a bunch of people from our school. Haha, going Sentosa is a great idea if only your school is having a holiday. =D

Ate at Pastamania for dinner, then went home. By that time my eyes were going to close at any moment already, and I turned horribly black cause of the Sun.

Tuesday, went to school in a I dun wanna study mood. But no one was really studying anyways, except for Math's lesson. Bleh. Learned something about Arc Length and Area of Sector, but that's all we learned. =D

And had Pizza for Pure Geography cause everyone in the class passed. Haha, I didn't expect Mr. Koh to buy the pizza too. O.O And there were super funky types of pizza. Like Tom Yam? And Chicken Rice or something like that. Weirdness. =)

Went to Compass Point to discuss Passing Out Parade things with our instructor again, haha, NP people around me were all very angry cause I kept saying I ate pizza already when they were deciding what to eat for lunch. =D Reached home at around 6, then worked on the video again.

Wednesday, Prize Presentation cause it's the 3rd last day of school. Kind of reminded me of last year too, except now I topped the level in Geography instead of English, and now my English has dropped to a A2. =( Heh, and the MC for the presentation pronounced my name like :"Zeng...Ming...Hei..." =\

Watched a documentary for Physics on Savant. So cool la, like daredevil with use echolocation. Blee.

Hi Musical Auditions after school, Lenson and I took photographs with his two D80s. Gah. I kind of regret taking photos with a D80, cause now all my photos look so lousy and low-res compared to the D80 photos. The colour saturation is much nicer with a D80 too.
Took many more photos, but I don't feel like posting them. =P

Anyways, took photos of the people auditioning until the end, then went to space for a while where Lenson played the Secret. =D

Thanksgiving Mass on Thursday. Kind of like a time to reflect back in that sense. Started thinking about this same moment last year and what's changed in that time span. Like almost every aspect of my life has been altered in some way or another, and it's only been a year.

Watched videos for Physics again, haha. And lessons ended early at 11.30 cause we didn't have higher Chinese. Heh.

Went to Lenson's house with Woei Jiun and Denise cause there's some photography competition on Nature Conservation. Should ask Guan You for ideas but he's in NS. Haha. Then stayed at his house for a while and took 72 to Tampines. Ate at KFC where we all ate Meltz, then took bus 67 to Bukit Timah Hill, except the bus ride was super long. And me and Lenson like saw the road leading up to Bukit Timah Hill, but then we thought the bus will like go one round around the hill, but then it didn't so we were like 5 bus stops away. Then we wanted to walk around the hill back to where the entrance was, but then we took the wrong road. Haha, and the girls were complaining all the way la. -.-

Blee, in the end we didn't go up the hill cause it was already quite late, so took a taxi to Hougang and Woei Jiun and me started suan-ing Denise. Heehee. Like "If you don't talk, no one will say you are dumb."

And I really dislike Lenson's camera now, now I think that all the photos I took are super low quality. Grr.

Then we went to Lenson's house and he taught me how to play The Secret Duet on piano. Awesome! We're gonna be a couple playing together! Hahaha.

Then I went home, and started chiong-ing for the videos cause it wasn't even done halfway and the deadline was the next day. In the end I slept at around 4am. Again. =/

Friday, got back our report book and test papers, supposed to organise all our test papers nicely into a clear folder to pass to our parent's to check, but I just threw everything in and folded it pretty messily. Heehee. And my results are atrociously horrible. I think it's the first time I ever got so low for my result slip okay? Bleh.

Spent about 2 hours cleaning up the class, so called "spring" cleaning, but it's not even Spring unless you are in the Southern Hemisphere? But Singapore is in the Northern Hemisphere, so it should be "fall" cleaning. Okay never mind I'm being stupid. =D

Then went to PSL interview with Hao Xiang, Nina and Li Jing. Like the 4 of us could go first as we had NPCC later. And Yi Hong looked shocked to see all NP people. Haha. It feels weird to interview for a PSL, like catching up on something you did not want to do last year?

Then went for NPCC training. Instructors came even though they said they would not come. so much for honesty Then we got scolded cause we were 1 minute late. Ah wells. School Open House Parade training. Blah, I'd rather go take photographs with Lenson then run around acting in a skit with NCC "terrorists" and "Scouts" scouting and cheerleading "Girl guides". The skit could have been much better? Maybe do a scenario where everyone is valued or something.

Trained for 15minutes, probably the shortest training ever due to O Levels. Then went for Lunch with NP people.

Wanted to go play badminton at Punggol CC with classmates, but then decided to go home and sleep instead. Slept for about 4 hours, then woke up and for the first time in a few days, watched a movie.

It's a nice movie okay? Talks about the Coast Guard and how their training is like. And the movie's starting and ending actually got link together one. Cool!

I think this post is way too long already. So I shall stop blogging here.

Monday 22 October 2007

Work.

It's 4am and I'm still awake. =/

Struggling to finish 2 graduation videos by this Friday. Bleah. That's like 4 days left, with 3 days of school.

Hence I probably won't have much time to blog unless I'm like slacking and procrastinating.

Yep, going to go sleep now, like finally. =/

Friday 19 October 2007

Happy Birthday To Me Again.

Yay. Day started with me waking up very on time for school cause it's my birthday. Haha.

But then Denise asked me to wait for her cause she also wanted to take the MRT. Then in the end we were quite late cause the bus she was in stopped outside a mini-mart and the bus driver ran out. -.-

Went to hall, then there was a talk cause it was UN Eradication Of World Poverty Day. I think it's a really disgusting way to get people aware about World Poverty. I mean, maybe it's good to show shocking images of disturbing things, but the fact that whoever did the slide show copied every single image down to the description word for word, is simply hypocritical. And not only that, there's not citing of sources or internet links of even the names of the photographers. There's this thing call intellectual property you know? Next time any project requires internet research, I'm just going to copy everything and cite this example.

But of course the person doing it might have been really busy with their really stressed up lives, so no time to really do a proper presentation about the Eradication Of World Poverty. /sarcasm

Anyways, thanks to everyone who wished me Happy Birthday! =) Don't think I can remember every single one but thanks anyways! Heh.

And thanks to those who went to celebrate my Birthday at Hans with the 2 cakes. Haha, namely Hao Xiang, Stephen, Li Jing, Nina, Wei Ting, Denise, Fiona, Koon Tat, Woei Jiun and Elaine. =)

And thanks for the presents too! =) Haha, cause I'm super lazy to list down everything, thanks to everyone la! =D

Went to Clarke Quay with family in the evening. Ate at Riverside Indonesian Restaurant. Haha, I think the BBQ set thing was about $38.80 and I still felt super full la. Then walked around Clarke Quay and went Haagen Dazs for ice cream. =D

Ate the fondue thing. Cost $39.90, but only paid about $6+ cause we had a $40 voucher. =D And the fondue was nice. Heh.

Reached home at around 10+, then went to sleep immediately.

Woke up at 7am and bolted out of bed sneezing cause I thought I was late for sure la. But then my father said no need go school cause I was sneezing pretty badly. I think it's the ice cream cause it was super cold. Haha. So I stayed at home on Thursday sleeping on and off and watching Prison Break Season 3. =)

Went to see a doctor at around 4pm. Got some super gigantic pills meant for "Once Every Morning." And some super small pills meant for "Once Every Night." Thought it was some kind of stupid joke la. Haha. Took the night pill and went to sleep.

Woke up at Midnight no longer sneezing, so went to prepare Full Uniform. Slept at 2am.

Then Today I woke up quite late, but still dragged myself out of bed feeling very sleepy and starting to sneeze again, so I took the super enormous pill and went off to school. Haha. Saw Denise on the train too.

Once we reached the school, I started feeling super drowsy, weird feeling la. Kind of surreal if you want me to use profound words. Haha. But the feeling stayed with me until about 3 hours ago. It's hard to describe, imagine that feeling you get when you're dreaming. That dreamlike state la. Everything takes slower to respond and you just feel like sitting down and not moving. =/

Super powerful pill can, wonder why the doctor say "Once Every Morning", maybe mixed up labels? Ah whatever, I'm not going to take those pills anymore cause I'm not longer sneezing.

Didn't really pay a lot of attention to the lessons, except Geography which was on map reading. Cause I already knew topographical map reading.

NPCC was horrible la. If I had to state one training where I was the most irritated, this would be it. And that drowsy feeling turned into a terrible headache and I couldn't remember things at all. Just didn't feel like concentrating or anything. Stupid pill. =/

Was more irritated by the fact that now there's an Annual Camp on the 23rd, 24th, 25th November. And yay coincidentally Perth Trip is on the 17th to the 23rd November! I guess the Instructors couldn't have bothered to tell us about the camp earlier, or maybe they just assumed that everyone has no life at all and are willing to cancel everything just for NPCC, or that everyone's schedule can magically fit into theirs no matter how late they inform us.

Okay, let's say that they really had no choice and only told us about the camp today because of some very important, unchangeable decision. But sure, is that really a reason to tell us:"Don't go this camp, forget about all your badges!" Is it really very helpful or what, motivating? Then you tell us:"There will be no retests, or postponing of tests cause this is your only chance to get your drill badge."

In the end the only thing's that accomplished is that you cheapen the likes of a badge test.

And now it's "my problem" because the Perth Trip clashes with the Camp? MY PROBLEM YEA?

Gah. Irritated. Didn't go Cell today either, cause surprisingly, got Campcraft Training tomorrow.

Wednesday 17 October 2007

Happy Birthday To Me.

Planned to post this before my Birthday actually came. But then was caught up doing work for my mother, and the time now is 12.27am, so whatever. -.-

Happy Birthday To Me. Yay.

I guess a lot can change in 1 year. Maybe I shouldn't blog it all down cause it's kind of depressing in that sense. So don't read it if you feel surprisingly happy and amiable and positive and anything.

Feels weird to look back and realise that one year has passed. Last year I would have been at the field trip to Temasek Polytechnic, but that's last year all over again.

Last year around this time would have been the outing to Vivo City to watch Death Note, then the BBQ at Kenny's house, then all the quarrels and fights, maybe because of me.

1 year is more than enough to change a lot of things I guess. I've realised that I don't really want my birthday to come at all, I still want to go back and live in the past, I don't want to have to face everything in the future, I simply don't know what to do anymore.

My Grandfather's birthday was on the 14th, 3 days before mine. Celebrated in the hospital, and I just realised right there that my last living grandparent was lying in front of me. Cake tasted bittersweet. And the feeling was just impossible for me to describe.

1 year is definitely enough to change things. And my birthday's here already whether I want it or not.

Bathing Snowie.

Okay, decided to do a photo essay cause I haven't posted any photos in a long time. So I shall blog about bathing Snowie. =) Spent the entire Sunday Morning and Afternoon bathing him. Snowie's my dog by the way, in case you didn't know.

Haha, bathing a dog is much harder than expected really,it's like he knows when its time to bathe and will run around hiding so as to avoid bathing. But once you catch him and carry him then it's quite okay. Just soak him with water, add shampoo, then rinse it off. =D
He started playing around and biting his towel after bathing, still super wet though.
So cute right? XD
He lay like this for about 5 seconds wondering why everything turned black. =P
After drying was grooming and brushing and combing his hair. I think it's really painful cause the combs' teeth are sharp. So I have to run around can persuade him to stay still.

Haha okay, I think that's all the pictures I have. Was super wet by the time I finished bathing him. So I had to take a bath too. =)

Immigration & Checkpoints Authority Singapore.

Went to ICA to go extend my passport. If not I can't go Perth. Haha.

Gosh, like the walkway from Lavander MRT to ICA was filled with people giving out flyers for tuition. So if you feel like signing up for tuition courses and need some choices...But I don't cause I haven't gone for tuition since Sec1. =)

Anyways, went to queue up, got a ticket then waited for like half an hour. Bleh. I was one of the last few there anyways cause I was super late. Went to take a passport photo also, cause I have to go back there and make my IC in a few days time.

Finally extended my passport after a super boring wait, then took a train to Novena.

Stupid thing was, I extended my passport on time, then photocopied it on time, then I forgot to bring to school to hand up.

Ate at Novena Burger King then went to cell whilst my mother and sister went to Tan Tock Seng to visit my grandfather.

Cell was okay, no sermon or anything, so mostly just sharing. Cedric on school holiday already. =\

Went for supper with family at a coffee shop in Bishan. Ate Kway Chap. Haha. Haven't eaten it in a long time. In fact, I think it's the first time this year I've eaten kway chap.

Haha, wanted to take a photo before I started eating, but never mind...

Thursday 11 October 2007

End Of End Of Year Examinations.

Okay so exams ended! Strange, no one's really celebrating cause results will be handed back to us on Tuesday. Sighs.

Anyways, Additional Maths was horrible cause I didn't exactly know how to do the questions. Sort of like justing doing something without knowing whether you got it right or wrong. Except I'm sure I got it wrong. =\ Ah wells, I guess additional maths is after all, Additional. er..right?

Chemistry was okay. Finished everything in time too. Even though I was afraid I'd end up leaving 5 questions or something blank cause there was no time. But best of all, I could do the questions. Now I just don't know whether I got them right or wrong. Hope. Haha.

English Paper 2 was super easy in my opinion. Everyone's like:"WTH MINGWEI ENLGSIH PRO SOHWING OFF HIS SUEPR SIKLLS!!". But I did think it's easy, so whatever. Finished the paper in about 45minutes out of the 90minutes given, so I felt super bored and decided to copy out everything nicely so that the examiners won't have a headache when they see my horrible handwriting. =) I think I got at least most of the questions correct. Think.

Physics was hard. Cause I didn't exactly burn the midnight oil studying hard and memorising the formulas(In fact, I was watching iRobot. Blee.). So I didn't really know how to do those impossible Maths like questions which require knowledge of ke=1/2mv2 or pe=mgh or force=ma or all the rest of the formulas which I'm not including here cause I forgot them too. Blah. But those heat questions I could answer. I'm very good at the topic on heat. CAUSE I"M HAWT I think remembering Conduction, Convection and Radiation is much better than any of those complicated formulas. Don't know if I will score well, but think I can pass. =)

Maths Paper 2 was another horrible disgusting inhuman impossible exam. Especially this Cylinder question asking to find the volume of a cylinder and the volume of a hemisphere. I spent an atrociously long time trying to figure out how to get the answer and started to fill a page with workings and all that. And I didn't know what a hemisphere is so I just took it to be an object thingy and used 1/3base area times height. Then I look at the bottom of the question, and I see: (Take volume of cylinder to πr2h and volume of sphere to be 4/3πr3)
GAH. Minghui at this point disintegrated into a million pieces. In the end I used like 2 sheets of paper for that question alone, and the paper which I handed up had lots and lots of cancellations cause my correction tape ran out of tape. =/
And turns out a hemisphere is half a sphere.

And there was another stupid mistake where I spent 20minutes trying to figure out why this Cosine Rule did not work. Then I realised my calculator was set in the wrong mode and hence all my answers up to that point was probably wrong. Suay right? I don't dare speculate about how well/bad I'll do.

Okay enough of Maths, blah. Geography for considerably better. Cause I at least tried to study for about an hour just before sleeping. Yay Minghui studied. Worst part was I couldn't get to sleep after studying so I spent about 4 or 5 hours lying on my bed trying to get to sleep. Should have studied longer or something.

Could answer the questions within the time limit. Though I finished with 5 minutes to spare. I think I did sidetrack quite a lot. Haha. And I added in lots of stupid pointless stuff. Like:"Tectonic plates, also known as Lithospheric plates, form sections of the earth's crust that float around on the mantle." Stupid la. I have no idea why I memorised the word Lithospheric, and I probably won't forget it now. =| Think I should do quite well, if I don't it will mean that Minghui studying is pointless.

Exams ended for me with Geography. Went to Canteen and waited for the Woei Jiun who had Pure Bio. Went to Nina's house to watch a movie, but no one was really watching and we all just ended up talking and laughing. =D

Everyone's like going cycling at Pulau Ubin tomorrow. But I can't go cause I have to go renew my passport and make my ic if they allow it. Can't go to play Halo3 at Wee Jin's house either. =(

Exams are over, yet no one really seems to be happy.

Monday 8 October 2007

Mathematics Paper 1/History.

Okay. Slept from 3am to 10am. Then 2pm to 5pm on Saturday. No idea why I slept so long.

So I still felt tired even after sleeping 10 hours. Then I was lazing around wondering if I should start studying for exams. Then I decided to go Sentosa with family instead.

Blee. I feel so guilty. But ate at the Sentosa Koufu anyways. =P

Almost went for the Luge ride, but since it was so dark and 15 minutes to the closing time. =(

Went to Vivo City and bought a novel. =D One Under by Graham Hurley. Finished all 479 pages today. I think I'm wasting my money buying novels. Should try to read books from the Library instead. At least I won't waste my money on 2 days of entertainment. =/ But the book is nice though, very detailed on British Police investigations. And it's very disturbingly horrible in some parts.

Today was Maths Paper 1. Didn't complete 2 questions on time cause I was like taking my time and doing things slowly until I realised there was only 5 minutes left. Moral of the Story: Always look at the clock when sitting for an exam. =(

History was no better too. Cause the only topic I studied for was not tested. So not only did I waste all my valuable brain cells trying to memorise a topic, I also memorised a topic that was pointless for this exam. Awesome.

Ate at KFC for lunch. Then went home on MRT.

Friday 5 October 2007

English Paper 1/Social Studies.

Blah. No exams yesterday for some weird unknown reason. But no one's really complaining right? =D

Anyways, English Paper 1 today. At first I decided to do some argumentative and started writing about why listening to adults for advice was better than listening to friends. Then about 20 minutes into the paper I changed my mind and decided to do the one-word topic. =\

Haha, I think I wrote horribly out of point because my story was about someone about to commit suicide which has totally no link to the topic "Challenges". Bleh. And I wrote so many words that I now have 3 blisters on my fingers. And my pen which I bought a week ago is now running out of ink.

Social Studies was worse cause I didn't revise or study the day before. Couldn't really remember any points at all, so I guess my Source Based question will score much higher then the essay.

Played electric guitar for worship at Church today. This time had lots and lots of distortion parts. Haha. Feels different cause if you play acoustic, you'd focus more on the strumming and rhythm but playing electric requires more of intensity and dynamics.

136 took super long to come today. And I feel too tired to blog now la. =P

Wednesday 3 October 2007

End Of Year Examinations

The End of Year Examinations started today with Chinese papers 1, 2, and 3. Like: TRIPLE KILL.

Paper 1 was horrible cause I totally did not memorise the format for the letter writing. Letter writing is pointless anyways, like who is going to be sending letters to each other in the future? And who's going to bother about writing the date or title or whatever in some proper format? Unless you're going to be a Chinese Lawyer (or mailman) in the future, I see no point in writing letters. =D

Paper 2 was horrible cause the passages were really really hard to understand and explain. Especially those "use your own Chinese words" questions. Which I left totally blank. And those "do you agree? explain why" questions which I answered but wrote stupid meaningless stuff. I think the teacher marking my paper will laugh. Heehee.

Paper 3 was horrible cause I want it to be horrible. Horrible.

But anyways, we should celebrate cause Chinese exams are over for the rest of the year! YAY!

Left with Social Studies and English and Chemistry and Physics and Additional Maths and Elementary Maths and History and Pure Geography. Awesome!

I found out that I'm selected for the Perth Trip. But only subsidised 20%. Meaning if I want to go, I'll have to pay $1370. Now I don't know if I should go or not. =(
